This gallery is not an online shop, but all of the artwork shown here is available for sale in the form of archival prints or handmade greeting cards, and most of the book art is also editioned and available for purchase. Scroll down for more images! Contact me for details and price list.
Art
In my mixed-media collages, images might merge time periods, flatten perspective, defy gravity, and play with proportion to spark surprise and delight but also evoke nostalgia, longing, and the dancing uncertainty of memory.
Book Art
In my book art practice, I write poems and combine them with my collages in book structures, some traditional and others surprising. Book art is immersive and interactive and therefore challenging to depict in photographs.
Newest Work
Seen here: City Dance collage, Path to Eternity collage, The Storm pocket accordion book, City Dance pocket accordion book closed, City Dance pocket accordion book open. Some Perennial Favorites
I love to sell prints and greeting cards at fairs because it is so interesting and fun to see people engage with my work and choose their favorites! Each collage is accompanied by a little story. Shown here: Fruit Tree, The Red Roof, Harvest, Winter Solstice Tree accordion book, Stormy Seas single-page book. All images © 2016-2026 Sylvia K. Miller.

“Home” Series

Over the past decade, I have explored the meaning of “home” in art and poetry. My latest project is a 3D house with poems hidden in the walls; more on that soon! Shown here, above: Blue Spruce collage and The Time of Home chapbook (open page showing Memory of a Mango Tree collage) and below: Dream House and Cedar Street. All images © 2016-2026 Sylvia K. Miller.
Zines
Some people are surprised to find that these zines use the popular “mouth-fold” format, because they are kind of elegant and very neatly folded! I am learning to use a risograph machine and look forward to making some riso zines soon.

And More . . .
I hope that the foregoing gives you a taste of my art! Stay tuned for the Looking for Funnybird series!
